All’s well at The London School of Tropical Medicine

The London School of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene are now the proud owners of the most complex movable walls ever installed. Situated in the lecture theatre, this fully electric wall spans 12650mm, dividing the theatre in two via the stairway. The fabric clad panels vary in size from 2621mm at the top of the theatre to 6726mm at the lecture floor. London Wall worked closely with Devereux Architects in London and the main contractor, Geoffrey Osborne Ltd to design, manufacture and install this one of a kind movable wall.

London Wall Design have launched their new product binder containing the complete product portfolio. The binder comes with a CD ROM which contains all product drawings in PDF and CAD form along with an extensive product picture gallery of completed projects. The binder also has all the relevant architectural library codes on the spine. The binders are free to issue and are available on disc if you prefer.

London Wall is pleased to announce, we have recently completed an installation of 10 no. Type 100M movable acoustic walls at DrKW Gresham Street London, which allow for Rw 55dB sound reduction and includes a 16 meter wide faceted auditorium partition incorporating inset pass doors.

We have also recently completed a 4 no. wall installation, Type 100M movable acoustic walls at The Hilton Hotel, London Bridge which included 2 no. walls measuring 17metre wide x 5 meter high and include for Rw 58dB sound reduction with a horizontally laid oak veneer stained panel finish.

Increased Sound Reduction Ratings for type 80 and type 200 now available’ – as a result of London Wall’s commitment to product research and development, we are pleased to announce the availability of additional laboratory sound tested sound reduction ratings of Rw 52 dB and Rw 53dB for our type 80 top hung movable acoustic wall system and Rw 50dB and Rw 52dB for our type 200 sliding folding partition system. Information regarding panel thickness and weight ratios are shown within the technical data section for each system.
